What is conveyancing?

This is the legal process required to transfer property from the buyer to the seller. All states have different laws and regulations that must be observed. That means, conveyancing is done differently from state to state!

What will my conveyancer do for me?

It depends if you are a seller on buyer! Sellers, depending on the state, your conveyancer will draft all the legal documentation required to sell your property. The higher quality and more complete the documentation, the more certainty that you will have to bind the buyer to their purchase. Buyers, it is always recommended that a Conveyancing Lawyer review the documentation and contract of sale before committing to a purchase. Why? The property may not be fit for purchase – e.g. you will not be allowed to build a pool – or, there may be underlying issues. For both, the conveyancer will execute the transaction in accordance with the contract.

It’s that easy!
